Association de Transformadores y Comercializadores de Café Especiales de Argelia Cauca (ARGCAFEE) is an association formed in 2014 with only 17 member producers, all committed to finding a better market for their coffee, in search of better prices and arena to showcase the quality of their harvests. Argelia, a relatively remote locale in Colombia, was a difficult location for small farmers in the area to reach the marketplace and have leverage in their selling. Since establishing the association, it has grown to more than 230 members, about 150 of whom are presently active in farming and delivering lots to the association.
